Cornucopia Lodge Annual Coat Drive: Keeping New York Warm

On December 3, 2023, Cornucopia Lodge #563 proudly hosted a coat drive in support of the 36th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive. Through the generosity of our brothers, their families, and members of various lodges, we successfully collected 30+ warm winter coats for New Yorkers in need.

Supporting a Greater Cause

Since 1989, New York Cares has organized its annual coat drive, helping distribute over 2 million coats to individuals facing harsh winters. The initiative provides critical support to homeless shelters, community centers, and families in need across the city. By participating, Cornucopia Lodge joined a long-standing tradition of service, ensuring that warmth reaches those who need it most.

A United Masonic Effort

Our drive, led by Bro. Chris Ramcharran, brought together members from Cornucopia Lodge and other lodges who donated coats, showing the strength of Masonic brotherhood and community outreach. The event took place before our regular meeting, allowing members to come together for a shared mission of charity and goodwill.

Looking Ahead

With the success of this year’s effort, Cornucopia Lodge plans to make this an annual tradition. As Freemasons, we are committed to living our values of charity and service, and we look forward to growing this initiative in the years to come.

We thank everyone who contributed, and we encourage more brothers and their families to join us in making a difference next year!
